Christy Ferguson
Program Manager
Christy Ferguson brings more than 20 years of operations and program management experience to her role as Project Coordinator for the Monuments Workshop. During her time at the American Red Cross headquarters, she managed disaster preparedness and recovery projects and coordinated disaster response efforts across Asia and the Middle East. For many years, she administered complex grants on behalf of the federal government, and she advised program leaders on compliance and grants management processes. She has worked in more than 30 countries, including many that were experiencing or transitioning out of armed conflict.
Christy completed a BA in Anthropology from the University of Virginia, earning highest distinction under the distinguished majors program. She also holds an MA from the American University in Cairo, where she studied under and worked for a renowned legal anthropologist and founder of a refugee legal aid program in Egypt.
